Starfall Alliance

The Starfall Alliance is the paramilitary organization responsible for protecting inhabited star systems from the Vexro threat. Founded after First Contact, the Alliance serves as humanity’s last line of defense.

Founding

When the first Vexro appeared in the colonized systems, conventional military forces were useless. Ballistic weapons, nuclear missiles, lasers — nothing worked against entities that seemed to exist partly outside spacetime.

The discovery of the Vytar changed everything. The living ships were the only weapon able to face the Vexro on their own terms. The Starfall Alliance was created to recruit, train and coordinate compatible pilots.

Structure

• Council — Supreme leadership, made up of veterans and scientists
• Squadrons — Groups of pilots organized by galactic sector
• Science Division — Research on the Vytar, the Vexro and corruption
• Intelligence Sector — Monitoring and mapping of Vexro activity

Recruitment

Pilots are recruited young, when neural compatibility is tested. Training is rigorous and the survival rate of the first Awakening is only 67%. Those who survive become some of the most powerful beings in the universe — and also the most vulnerable.

Philosophy

The Alliance operates under a simple principle: “We fly so others don’t have to.” Its pilots know every mission could be their last, and that corruption takes an unavoidable toll. Even so, they fly.
